Our third Multiplier Event of the project “Transforming Covid19 into an Opportunity” has successfully taken place in Athens on November 15^th. The event has been organized in the framework of the dissemination phase of the project results to ensure further visibility of the main outcomes as well as create a network between job seekers and job employers to facilitate the process of using the mobile App: Jovid – digital jobs.

In this specific case, EKO Greece, one of the partners from the Consortium, oversaw the management of the event whose program included insightful presentations from different Greek stakeholders and a final enriching Roundtable discussion.

In a nutshell, the program included the following sessions: opening remarks led by Kyriaki Panourgia, President of EKO, an introduction of the project results including the mobile App Jovid19, the policy recommendations to be presented to the European Parliament and the audio-visual material developed during the project implementation.

In a later stage of the event, Dimitris Kokkinakis, co-founder of Impact Hub Athens, gave an interactive presentation on the role of incubators in fostering entrepreneurship among young people. This was followed by a presentation on the future of business and how dynamicity can boost youth employability, which was led by Harry Skordis from Dialectica, an information services company aiming at shaping better business decision-making worldwide.

Finally, the Roundtable gathered the previous speakers with local youth to discuss and improve the policy recommendations of the project. The purpose of this discussion panel was double: on one side promoting businesses into hiring unemployed young people for remote digital jobs and on the other hand facilitating youth economic activation through self-employment
