YouthProAktiv is an international organization that aims to create a generation of proactive individuals ready to invest their talents for the betterment of society by starting their own business and creating jobs for themselves and the others.
The Transatlantic Leadership Program (TLP) is designed to identify the brightest young people from the European Union and the United States willing to participate in developing strong transatlantic relations. The program allows young leaders from both sides of the Atlantic to undergo a 3-month working experience at United States Congress for European young leaders, and at the European Parliament for American participants.
Although the United States and the European Union remain the closest allies, recent development in international politics particularly requires us to create a new vision for transatlantic relations. Having this in mind, the United States and European Union will need to prepare a new generation of social and political leaders, able to understand the importance of transatlantic relations, that are empowered to search for common strategies in response to a changing world.
YouthProAktiv focused in promoting proactivity, entrepreneurship as well as greater involvement of young people in the economic, political and social life of their communities, aims to establish a new platform of cooperation for Transatlantic partners that will give young people an opportunity to gain a first-hand experience of policy-making both at American and European level. Our sponsors include the European Parliament, the U.S. Mission to the European Union, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate. Congressmen such as Adam Kinzinger, Steve Chabot, and Adriano Espaillat have previously hosted some of the brightest European young minds on transatlantic relations. Similarly, the EP Delegation to the United States at the European Parliament is strongly supporting American young leaders in their professional experience in Brussels. Additionally, MEP Ludek Niedermayer, MEP Neena Gill and MEP Paolo de Castro are already enrolled in the program.
After the success of the first three editions of the Transatlantic Leadership Program we have now opened the fourth edition.
You can find information on the program here. The fourth transatlantic exchange will take place between September and December 2020. As of November 1st, interested candidates may apply here. The deadline for applications is November 30th, 2019.
