At YouthProAktiv, we are committed to equipping young people with the tools, skills, and networks they need to drive meaningful change. That’s why we are thrilled to share the success of the International Social Impact Hub, a key milestone within the Erasmus+ KA220 project “YOUng Changemakers for Circular Local Economy” (YOU-Cycle). This initiative brought together young social entrepreneurs to explore sustainability, circular economy solutions, and social innovation, turning ideas into impactful action.

A Hub for Innovation and Social Change

From March 3-6, 2025, Istanbul became a vibrant center for youth-led innovation. Hosted by the European Integration Association (EIG) in collaboration with YouthProAktiv and other Erasmus+ partners, this four-day program provided a dynamic space for young changemakers to pitch solutions to local sustainability challenges.
Finalist teams from Turkey, Greece, and Spain presented their ideas, demonstrating not just creativity, but real potential for impact. These young entrepreneurs were supported by mentors and local experts, who guided them in developing sustainable business models that could drive positive change in their communities.

From Ideas to Action: Hands-on Experience in Social Entrepreneurship

One of the highlights of the program was the pitching session at Atölye Üsküdar, a renowned incubator for young entrepreneurs. Here, participants had the opportunity to showcase their business ideas, receive valuable feedback, and engage in thought-provoking discussions with experienced mentors.

To bridge theory with practice, participants also visited Kadıkoy Dukkan (Atıksız Yaşam Dükkanı), a pioneering circular economy initiative in Kadıköy. This space promotes eco-friendly, reusable products, replacing single-use items and supporting local artisans and women entrepreneurs. Seeing sustainability in action helped participants better understand the tangible impact of circular economy models.

At YouthProAktiv, we believe that empowering young changemakers is key to building a more sustainable and inclusive society. The International Social Impact Hub has proven to be a game-changer for young entrepreneurs, equipping them with practical tools, insights, and a network of like-minded peers and mentors.
