YPA is an international coalition Brussels-based, representing more than 60 national youth organizations across Europe.  Fully focused on innovation in education, the selected candidate will manage EU-funded projects on skills development such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe & + EC grants.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, eager to take responsibility over project and results, proactive, team-player and passionate about project management and EU affairs. A demonstrable track-record of previous experience in EU advocacy, EU project writing and management is required.

Role and responsibilities

  • Direct work with Eu institutions and EU representatives
  • Executing YPA’s responsibilities within EU funded projects.
  • Contributing to the definition of YPA work program for educational projects.
  • Coordinating the implementation of project activities.
  • Facilitating educational activities and moderating conferences and workshops.
  • Contributing to the mapping of funding opportunities and drafting EU project proposals
  • Representing YPA at project meetings and events on EU education policy.
  • Managing a small team of junior project managers.

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 2 years of experience with EU-funded projects, ideally related to
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage and implement various project tasks, oversee and coordinate partners’ contributions in different working packages
  • Fluency in English, including excellent drafting skills. French is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the EU ecosystem
  • Good understanding of non-formal education and EU education policies.
  • Strong organizational skills and good time management
  • Legally eligible to work in Belgium

Desirable skills 

  • Excellent communication skills with and special emphasis on public speaking.
  • Capacity to learn by doing.

Work Conditions

We offer a competitive salary package in line with your skills and level of experience. The employment contract will be full-time engaged. Starting date: 1st of September 2026.

As our Project Manager, you will be part of a young, international, and dynamic team. Our office is located in Tervuren and we have established a hybrid work model. Flexible working hours are to be discussed.  Short missions abroad within the EU for project implementation are to be expected.
