Gathering young entrepreneurs, young professionals and proactive university students, the International ProAktivity Summit is the annual conference of YouthProaktiv on youth unemployment, youth entrepreneurship, start-ups, innovation and business new trends.

The aim of the International ProAktivity Summit is to discuss youth ideas and opinions with decision-makers on some essential pillars for the development and the full civic participation of youth: youth entrepreneurship and education.

In addition, we want to discuss recent opportunities and limitations for young entrepreneurs in Europe. We want to evaluate the most important policy reforms necessary to foster youth entrepreneurship and to decrease youth unemployment in general.

Finally, we want to bring together all the organizations, decision-makers and young people involved in fostering innovation, in order to discuss new emerging sectors of economy. We believe that a discussion at institutional level would be better targeted with the involvement of the same young people who bring their own specific visions and needs.

The issues treated by the Summit are all included in the “EU Youth Strategies 2010-2018″. The “Youth on the Move” strategy aims to improve, for example, youth employability also through an increased education. This topic is also in line with a recent discussion of the Council of the European Union on youth that focused on ‘Youth Entrepreneurship Fostering Social Inclusion’. At the end of the summit we want to raise the voice of young European citizens, making them more aware of the problems at stake and being able to elaborate informed proposals to policy-makers.
